When it comes to singing about love, Keyshia Cole has it down pact. She has built her career on a solid foundation on songs related to love and relationships. The Oakland, Calif. native is back with another song titled “Incapable” to add to her collection.
Co-written by Cole and Elijah Blake, the song explores a relationship where one partner is putting in more effort than the other.
“Oh what a oh what a feeling / The one that I thought that I needed / Was incapable, incapable of needing me back / Incapable, incapable of loving like that,” Cole sings on the chorus.
“Incapable” is lifted from Cole’s upcoming album, 1 1 1 1 Reset, which is expected to release this year on Epic Records. The album will also include her French Montana and Remy Ma-assisted song “You.”
In an interview with Rated R&B, Blake revealed he is very involved with Cole’s forthcoming project. “I think I did like 85 percent of the songs but Keyshia is changing the track list every day, so we’ll see,” he said.
