dvsn Premieres New Single ‘Mood’

R&B duo dvsn (singer Daniel Daley and producer Nineteen85) is back with a new sultry song titled “Mood.” Over a lush production, Daley delivers sensual lyrics that help set the ‘mood’ in the bedroom. The song has an old school R&B feel that listeners should appreciate.

“Now I’m gonna make a time to make love / I’m gonna make a point to just focus on us / Now I’m gonna make sure you get enough / When I make it all about you, take care of us,” Daley sings on the smooth track.

“Mood” is the third song dvsn has released since their debut album, Sept. 5th. The song follows “Don’t Choose” and “Think About Me.” All three songs are lifted from the Canadian duo’s forthcoming sophomore album, Morning After, which will release on OVO Sound.

Stream Teyana Taylor’s New Album ‘K.T.S.E.’

After an extended wait, Teyana Taylor finally delivers her sophomore album, K.T.S.E. (Keep That Same Energy).

Executive produced by Kanye West, the album is the fifth project to release within the last month as part of his G.O.O.D. Music rollout. The eight-track offering includes features from West (“Hurry”), Ty Dolla $ign (“3Way”) and Mykki Blanco (“WTP”).

The album was supposed to drop immediately on Friday at midnight, however, Taylor still needed a little more time to put finishing touches to the project. Rapper Pusha T, who is also president of G.O.O.D. Music, confirmed earlier on Friday that Taylor was still working on parts of the album.

West announced the release date on Twitter in April, along with the other G.O.O.D. Music releases. Keeping that same energy he had for the other four projects, Taylor’s album arrives with no prior singles.

On Thursday (June 21), Taylor hosted an exclusive album listening party in Los Angeles that brought out industry tastemakers and talent including her husband Iman Shumpert, Kanye West, Migos and 2 Chainz, to name a few.

Keep That Same Energy is the follow-up to Taylor’s debut album, VII, which dropped in October 2015. The album featured appearances from Chris Brown, Pusha T and Yo Gotti.

Taylor will support her new album on tour later this summer with Jeremih. The two artists will kick off their North American tour on August 3 in Tampa. The month-long tour will hit major cities including Atlanta, Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Dallas, Los Angeles and Seattle, before wrapping up in Portland on September 8.

Listen to 6LACK’s New Single ‘Switch’

It’s been a few months since we’ve heard solo material (“Cutting Ties“) from 6LACK but he’s back with a new single called “Switch.”

Backed by a blaring bass and background vocals from Ty Dolla $ign, the track hears the Georgia native challenging his listeners to wear the hat of someone else to see if they could survive all the troubles the other person endures.

“Now switch / Tell me how it feels, to be somebody else,” he sings on the mesmerizing chorus. “Now switch / It wasn’t what you thought it was, another story to tell.”

“Switch” could mark the sign of a new album era for 6LACK. He took to social media to announce details on his untitled follow-up to 2016’s FREE 6LACK. “I think my album is done. Love, Bear,” he shared.
