Emerging singer Rhyon has released a video for her latest single titled “Gone” from her forthcoming visual album, Pretty Girl.
Produced by Harmony Samuels, “Gone” finds Rhyon singing about making an exit from a bad relationship.
“It sucked to be cheated on, lied to, but the worst part was that I put so much energy into someone I knew never deserved it — and for what?,” Rhyon states in the intro.
The video begins with Rhyon calling her man’s phone and overhearing him brag about smashing another chick. Her The visual transitions to an interpretive dance performance by Rhyon and a male dancer.
“Gone” is the second single off Pretty Girl. In July, she released her debut single “California.”
Rhyon recently held a private screening in Los Angeles for her accompanying short film for Pretty Girl. Former 3LW member and The Real’s Adrienne Houghton and her husband Isreal hosted the red carpet. Many stars attended the event including Eric Bellinger, Kofi Siriboe, Megan Good, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Paige Hurd, Tasha Smith, Keith Powers, Niecy Nash, Skye Townsend, Nicki Micheaux and Insecure’s Y’lan Noel, to name a few.
Pretty Girl will release on October 6 via BOE/EMPIRE. The album will confront race, womanhood and self empowerment over a course of 12 tracks.
