Jennifer Hudson wants a moment to be vulnerable in the beautifully shot visual for her new single, “Burden Down.”
Directed by Sam Lecca, Hudson seats herself behind a piano to pour out the pain that’s been trapped in her heart. “I deliver, each and every time. I’m a giver. I don’t think about what’s mine. You keep asking, you keep taking. And there’s no reciprocation. I shouldn’t have to do this by myself,” she belts.
“Burden Down” is a fitting lead single for this winter season and could do some serious damage on urban AC radio. The new ballad will appear on her new fourth studio album, which is due in 2018.
