Kali Uchis has released the music video for her new single “After the Storm.”
The video, directed by Nadia Lee Cohen, opens with Bootsy Collins‘ introduction being lip-synced by a box of cereal bearing his name.
The video then follows Uchis, who is longingly searching for love and the zest of life before meeting Tyler, The Creator, aka the “Flower Boy.” The two later fall in love and live happily ever after with their two foliage-headed babies.
And, of course, it wouldn’t be a Kali Uchis video without major hair and flair. In one scene, Uchis pays homage to Diana Ross.
“After the Storm” is the third single from Kali Uchis’ upcoming debut album Fool’s Paradise, which is slated for release later this year.
