Quincy Jones already knows who he wants to star in his biopic: Donald Glover.
The legendary producer sat down with GQ to discuss his career, the musical icons he has worked with, and what’s next for him. In the interview, Jones spoke plainly about projects he is working on, including: a CBS event hosted by Oprah, a Netflix documentary, and a 10-part TV biopic with Donald Glover as the star.
Speaking of Glover, he’s already had an incredible year, thanks to his new record deal with RCA Records and his first Grammy win for Best Traditional R&B Performance for his hit single “Redbone.” Glover was up for five awards this past Sunday, including Album of the Year and Best R&B Song. The second season of his popular comedy “Atlanta” will premiere on March 1 at 10 PM on the FX channel.
