Tori Kelly is using her beautiful voice to spread a positive message. The 25-year-old singer has teamed up with The Hamiltones for her uplifting single, “Help Us To Love.”
“All this hate I see on the TV screen / In my country ‘tis of thee / God help us to love, to love the way that you love me,” Kelly sings on the gospel-inspired tune, which was written and produced by Kirk Franklin.
“I grew up on gospel music, so the fact that a legend like Kirk Franklin would take me under his wing was just a dream come true,” said Kelly in a press release. “He genuinely cares for people and the warm environment he created really helped me to be able to pour my heart into this song.”
Franklin added, “Working with Tori has been one of the greatest highlights of my career. But it’s more than music, it’s the moment we’re facing in culture where the need for a voice of hope speaks to the healing in her voice and the compassion in this song. I’m honored to be a part of this historic moment in time.”
Kelly will debut the live version of “Help Us To Love” at the 33rd Annual Stellar Awards tonight (March 30) at 9 p.m. ET on TV One.
