Hi-yah! SZA challenges Kendrick Lamar in a karate battle in visual for “Doves in the Wind.”
Directed by Nabil, the singer (who plays the student) meets up with K-Dot (kung fu master) in the desert to prove her skills. After showing him that she’s a worthy opponent, the battle gets more intense as the two go head-to-head with quick kicks and punches. And did we mention there’s levitation, too?
SZA will join Lamar on The Championship Tour along with ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, SiR and Lance Skiiwalker. The tour starts on May 4 in Vancouver. The “Broken Clocks” singer will also perform at this year’s BET experience in June.
“Doves in the Wind” appears on SZA’s Grammy-nominated album Ctrl, which has been certified platinum by RIAA. She is currently working on its predecessor and her final album. “My world got so much smaller so fast,” she told Flaunt. “I have so much to write about. I feel like I’m in a cage. I’m making the best album of my life for this next album and I know that… because it’s going to be my last album.”
