Rising singer Tone Stith has landed an official soundtrack placement for the upcoming movie Uncle Drew on a song called “Light Flex.”
The 2 Chainz-assisted tune pays homage to the New Jack Swing era. “It’s lit, alright / Promise you can catch me / Vibing all night / I ain’t playing no games / That’s what I like / Get it poppin’, 5 lanes / Oh, you know I’ma hit ’em with the light flex,” Stith sings.
2 Chainz steps on court to ‘flex’ his skills. “Keep my name on the jersey in all caps (caps) / Crossed over to my goal, overcame trap (trap) / Hanging on the win, waiting for my stripes,” he raps.
Uncle Drew soundtrack is set to release on June 15. Besides Stith, the star-studded soundtrack will feature appearances from Khalid, Yo Gotti, Remy Ma, YBN Nahmir, Gucci Mane, G-Eazy and 21 Savage, among others. The film will arrive two weeks later on June 29.
Stith also has been consistently sharing new music on Tone Tuesdays. He recently dropped his rendition of Ella Mai’s “Boo’d Up” and a new track “Blame.”
