Brian Angel is no longer with Day26. The singer announced his departure via an Instagram post.
With the comment section disabled, the note reads, “It saddens me to announce I am no longer part of Day26. No there’s no problem amongst us, no anger or anything to that nature. This was a decision that I made solely myself.”
Angel goes on to say he’s been “dealing with a lot of personal issues,” which caused him to be absent on their soon-to-end 10-year reunion tour. While wishes his the other group members — Willie, Que, Mike and Robert — “nothing but the best,” he wants to focus on himself and his future solo projects.
There is no word on how this new will impact the group’s forthcoming album, New Day, which was slated to arrive this year on 826 Boyz/EMPIRE. Angel shared an “AWEsome” new solo single in March.
