Following her “Twisted” track, Ginette Claudette returns with a new bop called “True.”
On the Rico Love and Casanova produced track, Claudette comes clean about missing someone she once loved. “Now I’m in my apartment, my lips wrapped around a bottle / Why the man I love is somewhere with a supermodel,” she sings on the melodic beat. “I shouldn’t be tripping in your business cause you’re grown / Fuck that shit, though, baby you’re the only one I want.”
Speaking on her new song “True,” Claudette says, “[It’s] one of the most honest songs I’ve put out — wildly specific, yet light and fun. I think we’ve all been in that place before…I definitely have and this song makes me feel better about it.”
“True” is expected to appear on her upcoming project, which is slated drop later this year on Summerchild Records/Red Music. The project will follow her 2015 EP, All the Way, which included her buzz single “Jump.”
