R&B newcomer Victory has released her debut album, The Broken Instrument, under Roc Nation. The 13-track offering, which includes lead single “Open Your Eyes,” is described as a collection of art pieces.
“Overall I like to think of my album The Broken Instrument as a collection of art pieces” says Victory. “Each song is a painting that was inspired in one way or another by my life. I’m so excited to finally be able to share these paintings with the world.”
Aside from music, Victory has been very involved with campaigns for big brands like Clarks Shoes and most recently ModCloth’s “Say it Louder” campaign, which spotlights modern female icons who are making a statement and forging their individual path.
This summer she will be opening for Lauryn Hill on select dates, as well as making her performance debut at the Essence Festival.
