Emerging artist BAYLi – frontwoman of funk-rock band The Skins – has released a telling new song titled “Underneath.”
On the dancehall-inspired track, produced by Russ Chell, the Brooklyn native advises her love interest that although he likes her external appearance, it’s her internal being that he should be worried about.
“Underneath it all, I’m crazy / Underneath it all, I’m shady,” she sings about her hidden flaws. “Underneath it all, I’m a little insecure / And I’m terrified to fall for you.”
BAYLi has also premiered the song’s corresponding video. In the emulating visual, directed by Ellis Bahl, finds the singer revealing more warning signs to her man as she sings behind double sided mirrors.
“Underneath” is the second release from her upcoming extended play, which is set to arrive soon. BAYLi shared her debut single “MYOB: Or Whatever” and its video in June.
