Up-and-coming artists WriteSounds put their unique musicianship to good use on their new single “Live the Life.” With modern production and a splash of ‘90s nostalgia, the Miami-based trio express their thoughts on the state of the world.
“’Live the Life’ is a song that came about as we were looking at the landscape of the world and people’s need to ‘front’ or exaggerate truths in order to be accepted on social media or in real life,” the group said in a joint statement. “It seemed crazy the willingness of people to do anything, including going broke, in order to continue the facade and gather ‘likes’. It made us question if most of us are in fact ‘living the life’ or living a lie.”
WriteSounds aren’t new to the music scene. The group has collaborated with producer Jim Jonsin to create sounds for artists like Yelawolf and Austin Mahone. They also have a close music bond with Ted Lucas, CEO of Slip-N-Slide Records, which help them land credits with Teenear and Rio Santana.
As they prepare to shower us with more new music in 2018, listen up to “Live the Life” below.
