Jacob Banks is preparing for world domination with the release of his highly anticipated debut album, Village. As a sample for the goodness to come, Banks has released a new song, “Slow Up.”
The mystical sounding song utilizes the production’s minimalistic elements to highlight the unique vocal bass Banks has. The twinkles and electronic notes in the melody pair wonderfully with the gravel and pain found in the novice singer.
As the R&B aficionado orders people to “Slow Up,” he also directs those with an interest in him to look into his upcoming Village Tour. It will be Banks’ most extensive tour to date, spanning 30 shows across North America in major cities including Los Angeles, Houston, New Orleans, Atlanta and more. The first show will take place on January 15, 2019, in Portland, Ore.
