Jessie J is doing her part to spice up the holiday season. The British singer has released her first-ever holiday album, This Christmas Day.
Stocked with 11 songs, the festive work includes ten classics (“Silent Night” and “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town”) and one merry original, which is the Rodney Jerkins-helmed title track.
Jessie recorded This Christmas Day “very last minute” in the July heat. “I wrote a list of my dream producers and reached out to all of them personally,” she said in a social media post. “I was overwhelmed when they all said yes. I had 14 days to get it done and you know how much I love a challenge.”
Working around her summer spot dates, the dream team of David Foster, Babyface, Rodney Jerkins, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, and Boyz II Men made This Christmas Day come to life for Jessie J.
Soon, Jessie J will be wrapping up her first-ever North American tour. The string of U.S. shows is in support of her R.O.S.E. project. She along with her special guest, Ro James, will be performing in Dallas tonight at the House of Blues.
