Eric Bellinger earns himself a gold plaque. His Wale-assisted single “G.O.A.T. 2.0” is now certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) with over 500,000 units sold. Bellinger, who is an independent artist, publicized the feat on Instagram last Monday (Oct. 29).
Calling it “by far one of the greatest accomplishments,” Bellinger thanked a laundry list of industry influencers including his Empire team who played a part in making “G.O.A.T. 2.0.” a major success.
Bellinger celebrated his first gold-selling single in a grand way. He rounded up his wife (La’Myia Good), day-one friends, industry players and many more to toast to the golden occasion. Bellinger promises to continue making history “one song at a time.”
“G.O.A.T. 2.0” appears on Bellinger’s April release Eazy Call. The album includes appearances from Ne-Yo, Sammie, Mila J, Tink, Ma$e, Dom Kennedy, AD, Scootie, Chevy Woods and of course, Wale.
