After taking over television screens with a holiday special and performing carols across the nation on tour, John Legend continues to pull out all the stop for his first holiday album, A Legendary Christmas. The crooner paid a visit to The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday night (Dec. 5) to perform “What Christmas Means to Me” and “Bring Me Love.”
Spruced up in a festive green suit and backed by a killer band, Legend took audiences in-studio and at home to the ’50s for a retro-style performance, proving that home isn’t the only place for the holidays.
As well as performing, Legend chatted with Fallon about making A Legendary Christmas, working with Stevie Wonder for the first time and his new virtual reality film, Crow: The Legend. He wrote a score for the film, which is based on a Native American myth.
Not too long ago, Legend shared a Hallmark holiday movie-inspired visual for his version of “Have Yourself a Merry Christmas.”
