After the silent release of her Out of Control album last year, Chrisette Michele has returned with two songs titled “A Day in Your Life” and “Don’t Pull.”
“A Day in Your Life” is a warm tune that Michele mentioned she wrote at age 16. Her jazzy inflections slide in and out verses as she sings about realizing her true beauty lies right before her eyes.
On “Don’t Pull,” Michele weaves the music stylings of R&B, jazz and hip-hop for an enchanting record that invites comforting vibes to take over one’s mind.
Both records are the first hints of a new album in the works. While Michele continues to perfect and set a release date for her forthcoming work, she is hosting online interactive mentoring and coaching programs through her Rich Hipster University courses. She is currently teaching a class that teaches the standards of classic American songwriting in the urban space.
