Bruno Mars loves ’90s R&B music. The soul-pop singer borrows Jodeci’s signature sound his new collaborative track with Cardi B titled “Please Me.”
Produced by Mars and The Stereotypes, “Please Me” is an infectious tune that was clearly made for the bedroom.
“Please me, baby / Turn around and just tease me, baby / You know what I want and what I need, baby,” Mars sings on the hook.
This is the second time the two Atlantic Records labelmates worked together. Their first collaboration was on Mars’ “Finesse (Remix),” which released in 2018. The video was inspired by ’90s hit variety show In Living Color.
In other news, Mars is nominated for five NAACP Image Awards, including Outstanding Male Artist.
