Guordan Banks is ready to settle down. The singer-songwriter has released his new single “Can’t Keep Runnin,” which was produced by Sap and Cosmic Caviar.
On the soulful bop, which interpolates The Gap Band’s classic “Yearning For Your Love,” wants to be sure that his love interest is ready to make their relationship official.
Banks shared his thought process when writing the song, “I feel like people are afraid in relationships, but I believe to be free and go for it. What’s the worse that can happen?”
“Can’t Keep Runnin” is Banks’ first single since releasing his debut album, Unpopular, in 2017. The album’s lead single “Keep You in Mind” was featured in an episode of Issa Rae’s hit HBO show, Insecure. The song also reached No. 1 on urban adult contemporary radio.
