Leaving certain situations is hard to do but Mikhala Jené can’t help but to “Stay.” The emerging singer-songwriter from North Carolina is singing words of regret on the remix. Bringing Tone Stith along with a new second verse, the two accompany each other and tell their side of an unbalanced relationship.
Jené glides on the airy and pulsating mid-tempo production with a lesson on situationships. She sings on the first verse, “Brace yourself for tears / Break your heart for years / Edges falling out / Have you all stressed out.”
Signed to multi-platinum producer Deputy (Rihanna, NeYo), the southern belle is currently on the Shea Butter Baby tour opening up for Ari Lennox. Jené released her debut EP Carolina Blues in October 2018.
