H.E.R. is all for culture forward. The Grammy-winning artist has collaborated with Live Nation Urban to headline and curate Lights On, a new music festival that will take place in California.
The inaugural music event will bring together some of R&B’s exciting new acts like Daniel Caesar, Summer Walker, Ari Lennox, Lucky Daye, and Tone Stith, among others.
Jhené Aiko, who has two solo albums under her belt, will also be performing at the festival on September 14 at the Concord Pavilion in Concord, California.
“Concord Pavilion is the ultimate venue. It is the perfect place to bring people from all over the [San Francisco] Bay,” shared H.E.R. in a statement. “I have many memories watching shows and DREAMING I’d be able to perform there. The Bay Area is my home…..it’s a dream come true to host my festival there.”
While music will be the main attraction at the Lights On Festival, H.E.R. also wants to “showcase various disciplines of the arts.” Two stages will provide artists a platform to play music, with a third stage ordered to shine a light on emerging filmmakers.
Tickets for the cultural experience goes on sale this Friday, June 14 on the official Lights On Festival website.
In other H.E.R. performance news, the multi-instrumentalist is taking the stage at this year’s BET Experience and annual award ceremony later this month. She also will perform at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Festival in September.
Dream come true! My very own @LightsOnFest is taking over @ConcordPavilion on Saturday, September 14 with performances by me, @JheneAiko, @DanielCaesar and more.
