With the Jazmine Sullivan’s ultimate vocal collaboration with Fantasia and Brandy brewing, and her Anderson .Paak Ventura duet in rotation, the R&B powerhouse makes another music move in her return to the spotlight.
Sullivan lends her liquid pipes to “Hard to Believe,” the latest first-wave offering from Kindness’ forthcoming album Something Like a War due September 6. Laced in well-stacked vocals with a progressive backdrop, Sullivan sings sweet nothings to her man and expresses that she wants his love and not his “money or paycheck.”
On the latter part of the cut, musician Sampha drops in to showcase his gripping inflections.
Sullivan has been silently working on her follow-up to 2015’s Reality Show. The album earned three deserving Grammy nominations and included her classic single “Let It Burn.”
