The details surrounding Aaliyah being immortalized were revealed on social media via her official estate accounts. The news comes after years of online petitions from her loyal fans.
To make the deserving unveil ‘extra smooth,’ faithful followers have been challenged to take on one of Aaliyah’s most iconic looks for a chance to attend the VIP figure launch party this month. The competition, which has already begun, ends on Sunday, August 11, with ten winners selected the next day.
The official event will be held on Wednesday, August 21, at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas, nearly 18 years after her untimely passing. Official competition details are on the museum’s website.
