Kiana Ledé has been added to Vevo’s LIFT program. The initiative connects today’s rising artists to audiences around the globe through video content. Ledé’s kicks off her LIFT content with a live performance of “Shawty,” lifted from her latest EP, Myself.
The relaxed performance takes place in a beautiful living room. Backed by a four-piece band and two background singers, Ledé delivers a delightful rendition of the tune.
“With ‘Shawty,’ I wanted to highlight and bring out that brightness and playfulness that I felt when I wrote it,” Ledé said in a statement. “The little Reggae vibe at the end was totally impromptu on day of shooting with Vevo.”
She continued, “We just stumbled into it and had to finish it that way. You can see how much fun we had doing that in the final performance and I’m thankful to Vevo for making my vision come to life.”
