Fairy-tale endings aren’t always guaranteed. Emerging singer-songwriter AUGUST 08 explores this harsh reality on his latest EP, Happy Endings with an Asterisk.
The six-track project runs 21 minutes and steps on the hearts of those who tend to fall in love quickly. He makes this case on “Blood on My Hands,” a regretful tune that features a sick drum pattern and melodic lyricist Smino.
On “Simple Pleasures,” AUGUST 08 speaks to the ones who catch feelings from situationships that were merely built on sex. He loses his cool on “Civilized” and keeps his eyes out for the “Good Girls” with Duckwrth.
Happy Endings with an Asterisk is AUGUST 08’s follow-up to his Father album, which was released last year.
