Summer Walker doesn’t have time for foolishness when it comes to love. The Atlanta native returns with her brand new single titled “Playing Games.”
Over an acoustic-driven instrumental, produced by London On Da Track, Walker confronts her man about his lack of attention he has been showing her lately. The chorus contains an interpolation of Destiny’s Child’s hit single “Say My Name” from The Writing’s On the Wall.
“So won’t you say my name, say my name / If you claim you want me / You actin’ kinda shady / You ain’t been calling me baby,” Walker sings.
“Playing Games” is the lead single from Walker’s upcoming debut album, Over It, which will release later this year on LVRN/Interscope Records. It will follow her Clear EP, which released earlier this year.
To support her new album, Walker will kick off her First and Last Tour on October 26 at the Mala Luna Festival. From there she will hit major cities across North America, including New Orleans, Houston, Chicago and Orlando, before wrapping up on December 21 in Memphis.
