Jae Stephens has a message for all you transplants on her new song “Hate LA,” which she wrote and produced.
Over a simplified production, Stephens challenges out-of-towners who complain too much.
“No one is here it’s beggin’ you to stay / If you really hate LA / You can pack your shit and fucking move away,” she sings.
Speaking on the inspiration behind the song, Stephens explained, “I wrote the song once I was able to step back and realize how amazing it is to be here working towards a dream, and how some situations really are all about how you choose to look at them.”
“Hate LA” will be featured on Stephens’ upcoming self-produced EP, f**ck it i’ll do it myself, due October 23.
