The nominations for the 2019 American Music Awards were released Thursday morning, with Khalid and Ella Mai leading the pack with four nominations each.
The R&B newcomers are both nominated in the three Soul/R&B categories for their latest albums and respective hit singles.
Mai, who announced the nods on ABC’s Good Morning America, will face off with first-time nominee Lizzo for New Artist of the Year.
Chris Brown also earned a pair of nods, including Favorite Album — Soul/R&B for Indigo.
The voting for all AMAs categories has started at goo.gle/AMAsVote. Fans can also cast their vote by going to Google.com and using the search terms “AMAs Vote” or “[Nominee Name] AMAs Vote.” Voting ends on November 20.
The 2019 American Music Awards will air live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on November 24 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
