Luke James has enlisted his R&B colleagues BJ The Chicago Kid and Ro James for his new single titled “Go Girl.”
The laidback track is an ode to the ’90s, which has been considered the Golden Era of R&B music.
“It’s a celebratory song that I created with two of my best buds in the business, Ro and BJ,” he told Billboard. “‘Go Girl’ is a feeling, an unconventional vibration about a specific woman. It’s perfectly freeing…as if it came out of a ‘90s classic love song or film.”
“Go Girl” is the first single from James’ upcoming album, To Feel Love/d, which is slated to arrive in 2020 via Culture Collective/Howling Nights.
To Feel Love/d will follow James’ self-titled album, which relesed in 2014 via Island Records.
Since his album release, James has released a handful of singles including “These Arms” (2018) and “Drip” featuring A$AP Ferg (2017).
