Emerging singer-songwriter ilham has released her new EP titled With Time.
The seven-track offering includes previously released songs “Run Dry” and “Back and Forth,” which were produced by Fisticuffs. The no-features EP includes additional production from Happy Perez and Dustin Cavazos.
ilham shared the story behind creating With Time in an Instagram post. “It’s been a journey-writing & creating this project. emotionally, vocally, sonically, it was a beautiful growth experience. i hope it takes you on a journey & allows you to feel something,” she wrote.
She continued, “It was a beautiful, draining, & confusing time to constantly travel from LA to NYC. what you guys see is an artist living their dreams, catching flights (not feelings), etc…but what you don’t see is for one week i was living in a creative ass environment, where i could literally be me, & then the next week, i was back in the projects, living in conditions that were normal to me but inhumane-no hot water, no heat, etc…polar opposite lifestyles. this is where the name of my ep came from. even though I’m going through it, even though YOUR going through it, ‘with time,’ everything will align.”
