Patience is a virtue but Jaz Karis might not be willing to stick around. Karis decides to choose herself on her new song titled “The Waiting Line.”
The beautifully wistful track, produced by Linden Jay, comes just in time for SAD girl season. Karis sings about being better off on her own over longing horns on this jazz-influenced melody.
On the first verse she sings, “Baby, you can’t smoke this away / Make a wish and blow this away / You’ve been known to get like this sometimes / You’ve been known to be like this sometimes / Maybe I should throw this away / Sit around on my own every day / Never known to get like this sometimes / Not in me to be like this sometimes.”
“The Waiting Line” will be featured on her upcoming EP Summer Stories, which drops on November 8.
