Blooming singer-songwriter-producer Parisalexa has released her new single titled “2 Real.”
The uptempo track is reminiscent of west coast R&B with its opening guitar strums.
Lyrically, “2 Real” discusses Parisalexa’s heightened expectation of her loved ones and how to still be open to new people that come into her life.
“When I wrote this song I was fed up,” the Seattle native said in a press statement. “I felt betrayed by people that I put my trust in (men, friends, collaborators) and I really took a moment to reevaluate my expectations of others. I reassessed a lot of relationships, and fortunately met new friends that reciprocated what I was putting out…And I’ve learned my true value. No matter what the vibe around me is, I’m perfectly fine with being too real.”
Parisalexa is set to tour with Xavier Omär this fall on The Hot Javi Tour, with stops in San Diego, Santa Cruz, Portland and Vancouver.
Parisalexa released her EP Bloom in 2018.
