Kaytranada and Kali Uchis want their piece of the pie and won’t stop until they get it. The two acts come together for Kaytranada’s new single “10%”
Kaytranada comes through on the funky uptempo groove, tied together with a melodious bassline.
On the chorus, Uchis sings, “Why you tryna lie for them? / Pretending who you are / But baby, why even pretend? / You’re trying way too hard / Ego is not your friend / I only speak the truth / No, I’m not trying to offend / Why you tryna lie for them?”
Katranada and Uchis have worked together previously on “Rush,” from her 2015 EP Por Vida.
The Montreal producer will be releasing his second LP Bubba this Friday, December 13. The new album includes features from SiR, Teedra Moses, Masego and more.
