Singer-songwriters Skip Marley and H.E.R. tap into a kind of love that is sure to happen in the big city for their latest video “Slow Down.”
The Lacy Duke-directed video, which takes place in New York City, is an ode to black love.
Opening in a retro diner when an intrigued Marley catches the eyes of H.E.R., things take off when the two take over the dance floor at a vibey party in an uptown brownstone.
The video embodies the spontaneous and unique nature of an “NYC” kind of love with Marley urging H.E.R. to slow down.
“Seh we can have just one night / Or we can have one whole life,” the Jamaica native sings.
“This project is so special. Big up to @hermusicofficial for bringing her energy to Slow Down,” Marley posted about the video on Instagram.
Marley and H.E.R. released “Slow Down” as a single back in 2019.
