Buckle up, folks. Musical enigma The Weeknd is taking us on a wild ride in his visually-stunning new video for “Blinding Lights.”

Directed by Anton Tammi, the visual features The Weeknd in his element as he shows off his eccentric personality. The Canadian-born artist is seen booking it on highways in a Mercedes-Benz and running from the feds, all while under the influence.

On the track, The Weeknd discusses themes of escapism over a beat that oozes 80s influence, crooning: “I said, ooh, I’m blinded by the lights / No, I can’t sleep until I feel your touch.”

The Grammy-award winner released “Blinding Lights” and “Heartless” as well as the video for the latter back in 2019. Both tracks are expected to appear on his upcoming fourth studio album.

The Weeknd released his last EP My Dear Melancholy, in 2018.
