If you’re going to be with Dinah Jane, you better make sure you don’t cut any corners. The former Fifth Harmony member knows just how she wants things done on her new single “Missed a Spot.”
She reunites with producer J.R. Rotem for the sexy and vibrant track, which features a first-ever sample of the ‘80s classic “Down Under” by Australian rock band Men at Work.
With much confidence, she sings on the first verse, “I know I’m in your head / When you’re not in my bed / Miss that shake in my thighs / When you’re lonely / Only you get it right / That’s why you get it twice / I don’t have to be nice / When you’re lonely.”
“There are so many parts on the track that I consider my favorite,” Jane told Rated R&B. “I find the second verse dope because I give my alter ego a shoutout, and then the post-chorus is just so damn catchy. It’s sexy and empowering at the same time.”
Jane also released an animated lyric visual and hinted on Instagram that it’s a taste of what’s to come for the official music video.
Before releasing “Missed a Spot,” Jane shared a couple of promotional songs (“Lottery” and “1501”) for fans to enjoy.
