Beyoncé’s middle name must be history because she’s made it again. The superstar has earned her seventh number one single on the Billboard Hot 100 with her guest appearance on Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage (Remix).”
With the Houston duo’s anthem taking over the top spot on the Hot 100, Beyoncé is now the second act to have held the pole position in the last three decades: ‘20s, ‘10s, and ‘00s.
She joins her colleague Mariah Carey, who is the first artist to have charted at number-one in four decades, respectively. Her chart success stretches from the ‘20s, ‘10s, ‘00s, and ‘90s. The festive jingle “All I Want For Christmas Is You” sealed the historic deal on the Hot 100 during the tracking week of January 4, 2020.
Shining the light back on Beyoncé, her seventh chart leader “Savage (Remix)” is in good company with her six other chart-toppers. The boss-chick jam is Yoncé’s second number one single with a Texas native; her first with Slim Thug (“Check On It”).
Another unique fact about her Hot 100 success is that five out of her seven number-one hits are collaborations. Take a look at her chart rundown.
