Aaron Taylor is ready to shine. The underground soul artist has revealed details about his debut album ICARUS, including its album release date, plus a new song called “Shooting Star” featuring Benny Sings.
ICARUS, the subsequent release to 2018’s The Long Way Home, arrives on September 25 via Edenic Records. It will include the previously-released duet “Don’t Leave Me Alone” featuring Lalah Hathaway.
As for Taylor’s newest single, “Shooting Star” finds him walking the tightrope of distorted soul, insisting that he wants a certain light inside a woman to draw him closer again.
Speaking on the new track, Taylor wrote on Instagram, “It’s a song about feeling nostalgic and missing an aspect of someone’s character.” He credits Benny Sings, who co-produced the song, for pushing him outside of his comfort zone in the studio session.
