Blooming singer-songwriter Shay Lia wants to leave it “All Up To You” on her summer-tinged new single.
Produced by Michael Brun and Tim Suby, the lush, yet inspirational track sees Lia weighing the power she has to control her own destiny.
“‘Cause even when the sky’s fallin’ / it doesn’t matter if you fly / don’t look back keep going / if you want it, it’s all up to you,” she croons on the motivational single.
“I wanted to create something positive for people to dance to in these crazy times. I wanted to feel reminded that we’re stronger than we think,” Lia says about the track.
She continues, “‘All Up To You’ is meant to be my version of a big, positive affirmation – layering my style of R&B melodies on a lush afrobeat-inspired instrumental… it sounds and feels like a summer vacation by the beach with your loved ones, which we all need so badly right now.”
“All Up To You” is lifted from Lia’s forthcoming EP. The Montreal-native released her debut project Dangerous and a follow-up visual for the track “Good Together” in 2019.
