Ari Lennox continues to keep things international. The DMV native has teamed up with South African rapper Nasty C on the track “Black And White.”
She eases into the track around the 1:18 mark but her full presence comes in on the second verse in her true fashion: unapologetically spunky and soulful.
She sings, “So call me baby / ‘Cause you be putting it down on me / In my bed / On your stairs / When we loving, you know I don’t care / All mine / Like wine / Say ain’t no b***h got your heart pumping like I / Fall in love when I look deeply in your eye / Fantasy the way you carry me, Mariah.”
The two blend beautifully on the smooth and mellow track. Lennox is far from out of her element, as the production is reminiscent of some of her early work.
