Superproducer Salaam Remi has shared another new single from his upcoming album Black on Purpose. It’s called “Until This Day” and it features a vocal contribution from R&B veteran Case.
This reflective love song is grounded in lovely piano playing and engrossed in churchy backing vocals. Case, singing with heart and soul, reminisces about an old flame that he can’t get off his mind. While he realizes that his actions caused the downfall of the relationship, he also recognizes that the love she had for him was one in a million.
“Until This Day” arrived with an accompanying music video, which was directed by NewDay Jovi. Watch it above.
Remi’s album Black on Purpose, which is slated to be released sometime soon through Louder Than Life Records, is already a star-studded affair. It features guest spots from Bilal (“Comin’ Outta the Rain”), Teedra Moses and D’Nice (“Black Love”), Black Thought, Syleena Johnson, Anthony Hamilton, CeeLo Green, and Stephen Marley (“Is It Because I’m Black?”).
Earlier this year, Remi released the Do It for the Culture project.
