Alicia Keys already released one of the best R&B albums of 2020, so how does she top herself before year-end? The global superstar decides to add two new songs to her self-titled album.
The first, “A Beautiful Noise,” is a previously-shared duet with genre-bending singer and songwriter Brandi Carlile. It features a somber piano production and lyrics encouraging people not being a bystander but to speak up and speak out to make positive changes in the world.
Keys recruited rising artist Kaash Paige for a remix of “Wasted Energy,” an album highlight that was noted in Rated R&B’s year-end best R&B albums write up.
On December 31, Keys is set to perform a special concert to bring in 2021. The show, dubbed Alicia Keys Rock New Year’s Eve, will feature performances of new material that she will record on location in Los Angeles.
