Dionne Warwick is the new queen of Twitter. The living legend’s quick wit and curiosity about the music industry at large and everyday topics have gained her newfound popularity on the social networking app.

A few of Warwick’s recent tweets questioned the stage names of acclaimed artists like The Weeknd and Chance the Rapper.

Regarding the latter Grammy winner, Warwick gently roasted him, tweeting, “If you are very obviously a rapper why did you put it in your stage name? I cannot stop thinking about this.”

Hi, @chancetherapper. If you are very obviously a rapper why did you put it in your stage name? I cannot stop thinking about this.

She later poked fun at the Super Bowl LIV halftime show performer, writing, “The Weeknd is next. Why? It’s not even spelled correctly.”

All of Ms. Warwick’s fun shade and lightheartedness has now led her to a surprise collaboration with the two hitmakers. Hardly able to contain her excitement, the legendary singer shared with her more than 271,000 Twitter followers that, “The Weeknd has agreed to join Chance the Rapper and I on our song ‘Nothing’s Impossible’.”

In the announcement tweet, Warwick mentioned that she plans to “end foolishness by 2021.” She left the door open for other potential collaborators, asking “Who’s next?”

Warwick released She’s Back, her first dedicated R&B/soul album since 1969’s Soulful. It featured Kenny Latimore, Krayzie Bone of Bone, Thugs & Harmony, and Musiq Soulchild.
