Savannah Cristina hasn’t missed any gym time and flexes about her fitness progress on her new single “Body Work.”
The pop-leaning R&B track is illustrative of an intense, full-body workout that keeps the sweat dripping and calories burning. In Cristina’s case, she applies her sensual vocals to the adrenaline-pumping to describe bedroom routine with her partner sure to produce instant results.
Cristina came up with “Body Work” at the studio after a long day of being in quarantine.
“I was in my grey sweats, eating snacks and feeling ‘no-so-sexy.’ I was honestly missing how it felt to be feeling myself like I usually do. When I started writing to the production, this sensual, confident persona took over me. I knew that this would be my anthem. The song I danced to in the mirror after a shower, the song I played when I tried on a new sexy outfit,” said Cristina in a press release.
“At a time where bodies are so heavily policed and controlled, ‘Body Work’ is a symbolic ode to taking ownership of your autonomy. Your body is a work in progress…and it should always work to suit your lifestyle and happiness.”
Along with the release of “Body Work,” Cristina unveils a flattering music video, which was directed by Jacob Hale. Watch it above.
Cristina’s new song follows her one-off track “First Time” and her Self Care EP, which arrived last October. She also released an accompanying visual for the title track of her 2020 project.
