Victoria Monét certainly has a way with words, as shown in her latest song “F.U.C.K.”
She reunites with D.Mile (Lucky Daye, Sevyn Streeter) for this playful, tongue in cheek number. While the singer/songwriter wants to get down to business, she still wants to be a friend you can keep.
“I think I want you to maybe meet me at my crib tonight / Might not be the one but I’m definitely the prototype,” she sings.
Monét shared with Zane Lowe from Apple Music some background on the sultry song. “I was just in the mood to create something that really reflects what modern-day youth feel like. Because we’re so into casual flings and sex … So we’re a little bit more free as millennials. So I just wanted to have a song that reflects that in a clever way, with being able to say what I want to without saying it.”
The mommy to be was recently nominated for this year’s GLAAD Media Awards as a finalist for Outstanding Breakthrough Music Artist.
