Elaine is getting back to life and back to reality following a breakup on her new single, “Right Now,” produced by Elizée and Andrew Morin.
The song’s landscape is spaced out as her laden voice resembles the burden she has carried from a deadbeat relationship. Elaine has no desire to make her ex her next now that her head straight and her vibe right. She focuses on rediscovering her purpose as a career-oriented woman post heartache, realizing that there is peace and better days on the other side.
“The song is exactly what it means and feels like to welcome growth, celebrate being a confident woman and find comfort in independence,” Elaine told Zane Lowe of Apple Music.
She continued, “When making this song, I remember walking up to the mic with a lot of things I was carrying in my heart but had trouble communicating and relaying to others. After I recorded it, things changed for me. The concept of love transformed from being a good lover to someone, to being a good lover to myself too.”
“Right Now” arrives with a corresponding video, directed by Nape Phasha. The clip shows Elaine nonchalantly ignoring numerous texts from her former bug-a-boo in various relaxing settings. Watch it above.
Elaine last released a project in 2019 called Elements.
