CeeLo Green and legendary go-go band Rare Essence have teamed up to release a new summer jam titled “Baby Don’t You Go Go.”
Over a funky production, Green begs for his woman to stay after she finds out that he has been unfaithful. Desperate to keep the relationship afloat, Green tries to find ways to make it up to her.
“Let me take you out to dinner and a day at the spa / Put some cash money down on a brand-new car / I bought some new bags, a closet full of shoes / But that’s a p***y I can’t lose / Baby don’t you go go,” Green sings.
Green first debuted “Baby Don’t You Go Go” during his performance at the 2020 Soul Train Awards.
Last year, he also Green released his soul-tinged album, CeeLo Green Is Thomas Callaway. “This is me doing music unplugged a little bit. It’s a mature album of easy-listening,” he explained to Rated R&B in an interview.
