Jordan Hawkins’ year-long absence has made the hearts of his many fans grow fonder for his anticipated return. In his new song, “Risky,” Hawkins cannot keep his composure in an intense attachment, promising to pull all the stops to satisfy her needs if he gets the chance.
“Don’t mean to be invasive, babe / But this energy got me feeling some type of way / I don’t want to miss you / I don’t mean to intrude, babe / But love is just a game that I’m trying to win / Ain’t nothing been the same since you let me in,” he sings over a gleaming guitar backdrop.
“Risky” is the latest offering from Hawkins’ forthcoming EP Heart Won’t Stop. He has yet to establish a release date for the work, but more updates are underway.
In 2020, Hawkins released several singles, including “Daydreams,” “Sunset,” We Have,” and “Thankful” featuring Lish.
